My name is Caitlin McGennis and I am from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I graduated with a degree in Elementary and Special Education with a minor in Reading. I am grateful to be a Mebane Scholar because it has provided me the opportunity to get out into the community and provide families with literacy support. We also participate in research and tutoring that benefits not only us but other students. I am now teaching in 2nd Grade at Niner University Elementary.
